Matthew Hounsell

Matthew joined our team in January 2025 as an Electrical Project Manager. With an innate fascination for electronics dating back to his childhood, Matthew spent countless hours disassembling old radios and TVs to gain a deeper understanding of their internal workings. This curiosity led him to commence an electrical apprenticeship immediately after completing high school. Leveraging over 10 years of expertise in the electrical domain, Matthew has successfully managed projects with budgets exceeding £1 million. Notably, his 4-year tenure as an M&E Project Manager saw him oversee schemes valued up to £2 million.

Matthew’s experience in the renewables sector spans 2.5 years, with a specialisation in solar power, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, and battery storage. His roles as Operations Manager and Technical Manager have granted him a profound understanding of the industry’s intricacies. Matthew holds a strong skillset, having achieved qualifications in AM2 / ECS Installation Electrician and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

Outside of work, Matthew is a keen enthusiast of various board sports, including snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. In his spare time, he also enjoys coding and has proficiency in a range of scripting languages, including HTML, PHP, MySQLi, Java, and Bootstrap.
