F P Hurley delivered the mechanical services contract for this new build Welsh language school in the Withybush area of Haverfordwest. The £28m project, which was funded by the 21st Century Schools Programme, was completed in October 2018.
The newbuild will provide first-class facilities for 3-16-year-olds, and aims to meet the growing demand for Welsh-medium education in the region. The school will provide 45 nursery places, 315 primary places and up to 600 secondary places, in addition to a 45-place playgroup.
The new building provides modern and bright classrooms, science laboratories, music facilities, a large multi-purpose sports hall, recreational areas and outdoor sports pitches.
A key element of the mechanical services was the installation of an SAV System XRGI 20kW CHP unit which feeds into the LTHW and hot water system of the building.
