Hurley Win National Award for Apprentice Mentorship

We were thrilled to win the award for Training Initiative of the Year at the BESA National Awards in London last week, for our apprentice mentorship initiative which has been led by our most experienced mentor, Paul Barham. Our apprenticeship programme is at the heart of F P Hurley and is the foundation upon which so many careers have been built. For almost 75 years, F P Hurley has committed to apprenticeship training and we are passionate about creating opportunities within our industry.

Our apprentices have really felt the benefits of Paul’s mentorship, in terms of improving their skill level, knowledge transfer and individual career development. Paul works with our apprentices on a one-to-one basis and provides a highly focused support service to them, whilst helping to embed the company’s organisational culture and adoption of positive behaviours.

Our apprenticeship programme has gone from strength to strength and we continue to work collaboratively with regional training providers to deliver a first class apprenticeship. We know the value apprentices bring to a business and how they are helping to shape the future of the building services industry.
