Team Hurley Complete Marathon Mighty Hike Raising £3800 for Macmillan
We’re proud to say that each and every member of Team Hurley smashed the Mighty Hike in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The 26.7 mile hike took place along the Gower Peninsula on Saturday the 9th July.
Knees were sore, feet were blistered and nerves were rattled but every team member got to the finish line through pure grit and determination. The hike was tough, especially because of the high temperatures and hot sun coupled with 26 miles of difficult terrain and constant hilly climbs. Although we saw some of the most beautiful scenery you could hope for, and now the aching is subsiding and blisters are healing we look back on what was a fantastic day.
Team Hurley have also smashed their fundraising target- at last count the team has raised just under £3800, well above the £3000 target pledged, with more donations rolling in each day.
The team, which comprised of Simon Luff, Robert Pengelly, Andrea Thomas, Marc Davies, Claire Pilcher, Deborah Bartlett, Anthony Isaac, Tony Smith, Andrew Pick, Rhodri Jones, David Malpas and Kevin Watts, want to thank each and every one of you that donated to this worthy cause and supported us along the way.
