Hurley Charity Committee Engages with Local Groups
F P Hurley’s Charity Committee continues to engage with local communities to find out what is important to them and how we can assist. From improving community facilities through small refurbishments or full-scale community projects, to financial sponsorship or one-off donations, we are looking for ways to help.
Some of our most notable work over the spring has included working with a local Scout group in Bassaleg, Newport, who were partway through an extension and refurbishment to their outdated Scout Hall. F P Hurley were keen to assist and donated a Doc M pack to ensure they had a wheelchair-accessible WC room. Bassaleg Scout Group have expressed their sincere thanks for the donation.
Elsewhere, we have been helping a local rugby team purchase a new kit. Nantymoel RFC were in desperate need for a new kit, and like many local rugby clubs, were struggling to source the funds for a new kit for the entire team. As rugby enthusiasts and keen supporters of young people in sports, F P Hurley provided a one-off sponsorship which will enable the purchase of a new high-standard kit.
