Transformation of Withybush Hospital Creche Play Area
Following a request from Ann’s Withybush Volunteer Ground Force, Withybush Crèche now has a newly renovated and reopened play area thanks to Willmott Dixon, as well as their subcontractors and supply chain.
A team of F P Hurley volunteers helped to clear the area, built a retaining wall to level out the previously sloping garden, erected a boundary fence, replaced the grass with artificial turf, and installed brand new play equipment.
Willmott Dixon arranged for the materials to be donated by their supply chain and their subcontractors, who volunteered their free time to deliver this much-needed makeover. F P Hurley’s Project Manager, Neil Higgins, was heavily involved and worked through some challenging weather conditions to help get the work done. Despite postponing works for a brief period as the ‘Beast from the East’ hit, the team battled the conditions to get the job done in good time.
The Crèche Staff, who had been fundraising over many years to raise the £10,000 – £20,000 required, were overwhelmed by the finished project, which will make a huge impact on all the staff and children at the Creche.
