Job Vacancy – Electrical Project Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our growing electrical division, based in Bridgend. You will be managing commercial projects from concept to completion and will be working collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors. As the Electrical Project Manager you will be responsible to ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget undertaking effective planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable.
As some of our projects are located away from our office areas some projects require overnight stays. Salary to be confirmed based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage projects from estimation to completion
- Carrying out site surveys
- To ensure the work is completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality
- Manage the direct and subcontractor workforce
- Manage the procurement of plant and materials
- Ensure all works are undertaken safely using risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Ensure understanding of and compliance to all company policies and procedures
- Ensure activities comply with all necessary H&S and environmental requirements
- Ensure quality workmanship is adhered to with the use of our internal QA software Procore
Qualifications & Desired skills:
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Effective planning and project management skills
- Experience of working on large new build and refurbishment projects
- Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods
- Recognised industry qualifications including 18th edition electrical regulations training
- Good people management and motivational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – the ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and clients and to produce clear and concise reports
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met
- Strong leadership skills and be able to work as a part of an established team
- Good IT skills
- Full driving licence essential
