Contract Win at Exeter’s Prestigious Sandy Park Hotel

F P Hurley were appointed to deliver the complete mechanical services installation for the 250 bed hotel at Exeter’s Sandy Park development which is home to Gallagher Premiership Rugby Club Exeter Chiefs, and the Sandy Park Conference & Banqueting Centre.

The 9 storey hotel, which is part of the Courtyard by Marriott brand, is situated just off the M5 and boasts views over the River Exe estuary and Torbay. The visually striking hotel will house some impressive amenities including a rooftop bar and restaurant, business centre, fitness facilities and gymnasium. The hotel will also be connected to the Rugby Club via a glazed link bridge giving residents covered access directly into the stadium complex.

The Hurley team started on site early November 2020 and the project is set to complete in December 2021. The installation is being managed by our subsidiary company, Hurley (Exeter). We have a large team of engineers on site which include locally based apprentices and supply chain partners. The mechanical installation, valued at approximately £4 million, comprises of air conditioning, ventilation, above ground soil and waste pipework, domestic hot and cold water services and sprinklers.
