Charity Committee Donates Sports Kit to Bryncethin RFC
During these challenging times, our Charity Committee has been working hard to continue their support for local communities with the donation of 60 kit bags to local rugby club, Bryncethin RFC in Bridgend. The kit bags, which are branded with both the club logo and Hurley company logo, will go to the U15, youth and adult players at the club and will undoubtedly help foster a sense of team pride.
Liam Bradley, F P Hurley Charity Committee member, visited the club to unveil the new kit bags. He comments:
“Sport is a powerful tool in bringing communities together and we feel it’s important to support that. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, clubs are facing unprecedented challenges and it’s more important than ever to support them so they can continue the excellent work they do in creating healthy and focused local young people with a passion for sport .”

Bryncethin RFC is a club on the rise, with the numbers of players representing the club increasing dramatically over the past ten years. The club now has teams at every age group from the U7s to senior teams which includes an extremely popular ladies section. Known as the social hub of the community, the club brings together hundreds of players, parents, grandparents and friends. The club recently opened its brand new Pavilion after fundraising an impressive £550k for the renovation. The Pavilion now provides a range of facilities and spaces that the whole community can access, and it has attracted several different groups to use the building.
The club are delighted with their new kit bags. Peter Bradley, Head Coach at Bryncethin RFC, commented:
“Bryncethin RFC would like to thank F P Hurley of Bridgend for their kind sponsorship of kit bags to the club. The bags will be utilised through the different playing squads and as with other local rugby teams. Finances are always tight so the very kind donation makes a huge difference to us. The players will be delighted with their new bit of kit. Bryncethin RFC are extremely grateful indeed”
