The project, which took six months, required careful sequencing and close collaboration with the Health Board’s team to ensure the areas adjacent to the works remained fully operational throughout.
Our scope of services included:
- LTHW Heating
- Air Handling Units
- Ventilation System
- Chilled Water
- Steam Plate Heat Exchangers
Challenges
The AHU plant supplying both Bunker A and Bunker B was refurbished, although only Bunker B was undergoing refurbishment works. Bunker A was to remain live at all times. To limit the downtime of Bunker A, the new AHU plant was built in position, allowing the team to change over and connect up the ductwork during out of hours. This was successfully delivered thanks to our close communication with the Health Board.
