F P HURLEY H&V APPRENTICE WINS CHAIRMAN’S AWARD AT BESA APPRENTICE AWARDS
F P HURLEY H&V APPRENTICE WINS CHAIRMAN’S AWARD AT BESA APPRENTICE AWARDS

Third year H&V apprentice, Lewis Ahern, was awarded the Chairman’s Award for his outstanding achievements at the BESA Wales and SW Awards in May 2019. The Chairman’s Award celebrates commendable performance; someone who goes over and above to achieve great results.

Lewis Ahern, Apprentice, said: “I’ve put a lot of hard work in and it’s fantastic to be recognised. I will be entering my final year soon, and this has given me the motivation to be successful and to achieve the very best I can. The support I have received has been excellent, and my mentors on-site have been invaluable in helping me learn and develop”.

Several other F P Hurley H&V apprentices were runners up on the night: Mike Joseph first year apprentice, Elliott Murdoch second year apprentice and Ronan Templeton third year apprentice.

We are extremely proud of all our apprentices, who achieve a high level of competency in both the practical and theoretical aspects of the apprenticeship scheme. We recognise that they are the potential leaders of tomorrow and remain committed to providing them with the opportunities they need to grow and develop.

The awards ceremony was held on the 11th May at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel. The evening celebrated the success of apprentices and employers from Wales and the SW region, with an awards ceremony, gala dinner and entertainment.
